The New Brooklyn Social Club

The New Brooklyn Social Club is quickly emerging as one of Hamburg's top swing bands. Rooted in traditional Harlem Swing, we feature some of the best jazz musicians you can find in Hamburg in a small group and big band setting. The small group is currently performing every first and third Wednesday at the Tango Chocolate ballroom (Kirchenallee 25) and consists of 5-7 pieces. The larger 9-10 piece big band features original arrangements by Walt Szymansky, that made up the core library of a very successful New York swing band. Simply put, there is no other band this side of the Atlantic playing this style of arrangements.
